CLASSES for MSIA Soul Awareness Discourse Subscribers Classes are offered in various formats—five weeks, seven weeks plus one full day, ten weeks, and weekends. Classes are scheduled by Seminary representatives throughout the world. Students can contact the Seminary representative in their local area or the Seminary headquarters in Los Angeles for information on what is available in their local areas. The following pages describe the classes under main subject headings for ease of selection by the student. Historical Studies TRAVELERS THROUGH THE AGES (Eight-Week Class and Ten-Week Class) This course focuses on becoming aware of the consciousness that has existed throughout time known as the Mystical Traveler. In studying those who have held this consciousness, students attune to the Traveler within, while learning how the Traveler’s ministries effected the course of world history. Ministerial Courses THE SPIRIT OF THE MSIA MINISTRY (Five-Week Class) What do MSIA ministers do? How does ordination work? What is the nature of service and ministering? How does one become an MSIA minister? This course explains and provides experiential learning in the many facets of the MSIA ministry and is an excellent course for anyone wishing to apply for ordination in the church of MSIA. MINISTRY OF SERVICE (Seven-Week Class & Correspondence Course) This course is a laboratory-style class where students have the opportunity to participate in activities of a ministerial nature in their community. RENEWING MY MSIA MINISTRY (Six-Week Class & Correspondence Course) (For MSIA Ministers only.) This course comprehensively covers the MSIA Ministerial Handbook, assisting students in learning about the inner and outer forms of the MSIA ministry. THE BLESSING OF YOUR MINISTRY (Weekend Workshop or Retreat) In a loving and methodical way, the Blessing of Your Ministry Workshop offers ministers the opportunity to more clearly understand the power of the MSIA ministry and experience the profound depth of attunement with, and appreciation for their individual ministerial blessing. As a result participants can attain greater awareness of how to apply their ministerial blessings more effectively as they go forward into the world, ministering to all. “Go back and listen to your ordination, very carefully. They delineate your line of authority, your power of Spirit, your levels of responsibility and the suggestions of where to go to do your ministry.” - John-Roger Personal Development Courses EXPERIENCING YOUR DISCOURSES I & II (Available in Spanish only—Ten-Week Class) These classes help students apply the spiritual teachings in the first twelve discourses, and provide practical keys for bringing Spirit into their everyday lives. INTEGRATING THE PHYSICAL WITH THE SPIRITUAL (Five-Week Class) This course addresses the sense of separation students sometimes feel between the world of daily physical responsibilities (work, family, finances) and their spiritual focus. Students learn to integrate their spiritual devotion with their daily activities and to create wholeness and unity in their lives. INTEGRATING THE THREE SELVES (Ten-Week Class) This course focuses on developing a strong connection among the various levels of the human consciousness—the high self, the conscious self, and the basic self—in order to align the whole being toward greater spiritual awareness. (This course can be considered the sequel to "Levels of Consciousness: Vehicles of the Soul" listed immediately below.) LEVELS OF CONSCIOUSNESS: VEHICLES OF THE SOUL (Seven-Week Class) This course explores the various levels within the human consciousness. Students experiment with techniques that access these different levels so they can learn how each level can assist them in their greater spiritual awakening. MANIFESTING THE CHRISTED CONSCIOUSNESS (Weekend Class, Five-Week Class & Ten-Week Class) Father, I come to do Thy will. Thy law is written in my heart, and when I stray from the path of Thy guidance, then I will return eternally and fulfill again the Christ Consciousness that is my heritage. —From The Christ Within by John-Roger The Christ resides in each person's heart as unconditional loving. In this course, students learn to create and expand their relationship to the Christ within and to express from the loving in their hearts. MANIFESTING THE TRAVELER'S JOY (Weekend Class & Five-Week Class) This course assists students to awaken more deeply to the joy of knowing themselves as spiritual beings. Exercises and meditations are designed to work with one's basic self to align with one's spiritual intentions in a playful and fun way. Students have remarked how much lighter and more joyful they experience themselves after taking this class. PAT IV: The Ministry of Peace (Weekend Class) This course, like "PAT IV IN RETREAT: The Journey for Inner Peace," is designed to assist students to develop a fuller expression of the positive quality exemplified by each disciple and to bring forward a greater manifestation of the Christ within themselves. THE PATH TO EXCELLENCE (Available in Spanish only) This course explores the concepts of excellence versus perfection and the loving, caring and forgiveness that are needed in order for us to let go of perfection and pursue excellence. THE TRAVELER THROUGH OBSERVATION (Available in English and Spanish) This course explores observation as a means of assisting the student in finding out where he puts his/her awareness. It is based on a comment the Traveler made about delivering ourselves from eons of karma (even if we do not get much done on the physical level) by just observing and paying attention to where we direct our mind, body and emotions. TRUE SELF, FALSE SELF (Available in Spanish only) This course explores the concepts of the true self, which is the divine essence within each person, and the false self, which is the ego and personality expressing from a lower state of consciousness. Students learn how to differentiate between the two selves and to express the true self more often. Courses for Spiritual Practices SPIRITUAL EXERCISES (Weekend Class, Five-Week Class, Ten-Week Class & Correspondence Course)) This is one of the most important courses of the Seminary. Spiritual exercises are a gift that enables one to connect with God. In this class, students work on creating the loving attitude and time to spend with Spirit each day. Through the consistency of the weekly meetings of the class, students have the opportunity to track their individual progress and to support one another as they grow in their devotional practices. THE TRAVELER IN YOUR DREAMS (Five-Week Class & Ten-Week Class) The Mystical Traveler Consciousness works with students studying the MSIA Soul Awareness Discourses 24 hours a day, particularly during the nighttime while the body is quiet and the conscious mind is asleep.
